The church is part of the Borge parish in the Lofoten deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The church is a rectangular building constructed with concrete in 1986. The church is part of the Borge parish in the Lofoten deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The chapel was built in 1915 and used as a bedehus (chapel) until 1944 when it was upgraded to an official "chapel". It was consecrated as a chapel on 30 January 1944. The wooden chapel seats about 120 people.
