Vevelstad Church is a parish church in the municipality of Vevelstad in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Vevelstad. The church is part of the Vevelstad parish in the Sør-Helgeland deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The white wooden church was built in 1796 and it seats about 250 people.

Velfjorden

Velfjorden is a fjord in Nordland county, Norway. The fjord is located in the municipalities of Brønnøy and Vevelstad. The 31-kilometre fjord stretches from northwest to southeast with many side-arms branching off the main fjord. Two of the main side branches are the Sørfjorden and Langfjorden. The Lomsdal-Visten National Park lies on the northeastern shore of the fjord.

MS Rigel

M/S Rigel was a Norwegian vessel built in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1924. The vessel was sunk by British Fleet Air Arm aircraft off Norway on 27 November 1944 during the Second World War.

Tjøtta Church

Tjøtta Church is a parish church in the municipality of Alstahaug in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Tjøtta. The church is part of the Tjøtta parish in the Nord-Helgeland deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The stone church was built in 1851 by the architect Christian Heinrich Grosch and it seats about 310 people.

Tjøtta (island)

Tjøtta is an island in the municipality of Alstahaug in Nordland county, Norway. The 11.3-square-kilometre island lies at the entrance to the Vefsnfjorden, just south of the island of Alsta. The U-shaped island is relatively flat, and the highest point is the 77-metre tall Kalvberghaugen, just east of the village of Tjøtta. The island has two main villages on it: Tjøtta and Svinnes. The Norwegian County Road 17 crosses the island and it connects it to Alsta by two causeways.
