Hovin Station is a railway station in the village of Hovin in the municipality of Melhus in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. The station is on the Dovrebanen railway line, about 45 kilometres south of Trondheim Central Station (Trondheim S) and about 507 kilometres from Oslo Central Station (Oslo S) at an elevation of 54.8 metres above sea level. Hovin Station is served by local trains to Røros. The station was opened 1864 as part of the Trondhjem-Størenbanen railway line.

The big white church was built in 1933 to replace the former building which had previously burned down. The architect in 1933 was John Egil Tverdahl. The church is part of the Soknedal parish in Midtre Gauldal which is part of the Gauldal deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros.
