Juan Augusto Saldívar

Julián Augusto Saldívar (also known as Posta Leiva) is a city located along the 23rd to 28th kilometer of Ruta 1 in the Central department of Paraguay. The city is well known for its exports of tangerines, lettuce and other agricultural products. The city has grown considerably in the past 15 years. From a population of about 2,013 in 1992, it has more than doubled in population to around 5,383 in 2007, according to a recent census.

Pilcomayo River

Pilcomayo is a river in central South America. At 1,100 kilometres long, it is the longest western tributary of the Paraguay River. Its drainage basin is 270,000 square kilometres in area, and its mean discharge is 200 cubic metres per second . Along its course the Pilcomayo silts up and splits into two main branches, North and South. After some distance these branches rejoin to form the Lower Pilcomayo.

Estadio Arsenio Erico is a multi-use stadium in the neighbourhood of Barrio Obrero in Asunción, Paraguay. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Club Nacional. The stadium holds 5,000 people. It is named after famous Paraguayan footballer, Arsenio Erico.

Hipódromo de Asunción

The Hipódromo de Asunción (sometimes known as Hipódromo de Tembetary or simply Jockey Club) is a horse racing track located in the neighborhood of Hipódromo in Asunción, Paraguay. It is owned by the Jockey Club del Paraguay. It was inaugurated on September 18, 1954 and is the largest in the country. The Hipódromo is located on one of the busiest avenues of the city, Eusebio Ayala Av.. The grass track is 1,810 m long and 20 m wide, allowing for 450-metre races without turn.
