The San Roque González de Santa Cruz Bridge, is a 2,550 metres long cable-stayed bridge that crosses the Paraná River between the cities of Posadas, capital of Misiones Province, Argentina and Encarnación, Paraguay, capital of the Paraguayan department of Itapúa. The main bridge is 570 metres long and the approaching viaduct is 1,595 metres long.

The National University of Misiones is a public university in Argentina; founded by the law 20.286 on April 16, 1973, as part of the Taquini plan, a program of reorganization of the top education that would take the foundation of universities of Jujuy, La Pampa, Lomas de Zamora, Entre Ríos, Luján, Catamarca, Salta, San Juan, San Luis y Santiago del Estero, form to more than 11.000 pupils, between them numerous foreigners, given their border location with Paraguay and Brazil.

Candelaria (Misiones)

Candelaria (Misiones) is a village and municipality in Misiones Province in northeastern Argentina. Historically, the ownership of Candelaria was heavily disputed between Argentina and Paraguay. The Paraguayans abandoned it in 1815, but returned in 1821. By 1838, the surrounding area had been heavily fortified by the Paraguayans. Candelaria was returned to Argentina in 1870, following the defeat of Paraguay in the Paraguayan War.
