Serra do Bussaco
Serra do Bussaco, (also Buçaco) is a mountain range in Portugal, formerly included in the province of Beira Litoral. The highest point in the range is the Cruz Alta (1795 feet), which commands a magnificent view over the Serra da Estrela, the Mondego River valley and the Atlantic Ocean. The forest has trails for jogging, walking, cycling and horse-riding. This grove of poplar trees (choupos), was planted in an attempt to stop the floods of the Mondego.
