Miramar, Portugal

Miramar is a small seaside village near the towns of Gulpilhares and Arcozelo, in municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, in the subregion of Greater Porto, Portugal. It is an upmarket residential area south of thr river Douro, most known for its beach - Praia de Miramar (Miramar Beach) and the small chapel called Senhor da Pedra (Lord of Stone), which forms the central attraction of a yearly festival.

Valadares is a Portuguese parish, located in the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia. It has a population of 9,095 inhabitants and a total area of 4.94 km². Today the shoreside vicinity is very popular for its nightlife and the bars along its well-known beach. It is also possible to see some old sanatoriums used mostly in the 1940s and 1950s to treat people suffering from bone fractures and diseases like tuberculosis.

São Félix da Marinha

São Félix da Marinha is a Portuguese town and a parish in the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, in the district of Porto, in Northern Portugal. It includes Praia da Granja, a seaside resort beach famed by Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen, a Portuguese writer and poetess who spent part of her childhood there.
