Tâmega River
The Tâmega or Támega is an international river belonging to Spain and Portugal. The river begins its course near Verín, Galicia flowing south to Portugal, in the historical provinces of Trás-os-Montes and Douro Litoral. The Tâmega River is a tributary of the Douro River. Fast waters and a storm at the time gave no chance for an immediate rescue, and the victims drowned.
