Lajas Valley

The Lajas Valley is located in southwestern Puerto Rico, within the municipalities of Lajas, Cabo Rojo, Guánica, and Sabana Grande. It is surrounded by the Cordillera Central and the Santa Marta hills to the north, the Sierra Bermeja (a small range in Lajas and Cabo Rojo), the Boqueron Bay in Cabo Rojo, and Guánica Bay. Its large extension and fertile soil has made it a good place for agriculture. However, it is one of the driest places of Puerto Rico, making irrigation necessary.

Church San Germán de Auxerre

Church San Germán de Auxerre is a Roman Catholic parish church located in San Germán, Puerto Rico overlooking the main plaza of the town. Spanish settlers founded San Germán parish in 1510 and built the first permanent church in 1688. Puerto Ricans repaired and reconstructed the church between 1717 and 1739 after it had suffered earthquake damage. Between 1834 and 1897, new repairs were made to the building, and in 1920, the tower was rebuilt after the 1918 earthquake.

Arquelio Torres Ramírez Coliseum

The Arquelio Torres Ramírez Coliseum is a sports arena in San Germán, Puerto Rico. It has capacity for 5,000 spectators. It has recently been remodeled in preparation for the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games. The basketball club Atléticos de San Germán host their home games at the Coliseum.
