Administrative divisions of Ust-Orda Buryat Autonomous Okrug

Ust-Orda Buryat Autonomous Okrug was a federal subject of Russia until December 31, 2007. On January 1, 2008 it was merged with Irkutsk Oblast. During the transitional period of 2008–2009, it retained a special status within Irkutsk Oblast. Districts: Alarsky (Аларский) with 17 rural administrations under the district's jurisdiction. Bayandayevsky (Баяндаевский) with 12 rural administrations under the district's jurisdiction.

Belaya (air base)

Belaya is a significant Long Range Aviation base in Usolsky District, Irkutsk Oblast, Russia located 18 kilometres north of Usolye-Sibirskoye and 85 kilometres northwest of Irkutsk. From 2009 it has sometimes been known as Srednii. It has significant tarmac space and 38 bomber revetments.

Mal'ta-Buret' culture

The Mal'ta-Buret' culture is an archaeological culture of the Upper Paleolithic (ca. 18,000 to 15,000 BP) on the upper Angara River in the area west of Lake Baikal in the Irkutsk Oblast, Siberia, Russian Federation. The type sites are named for the villages of Mal'ta (Мальта), Usolsky District and Buret' (Буреть), Bokhansky District.
