Siberian State Medical University

The Siberian State Medical University is a medical school in Tomsk, Russia. Previously, it was called the Tomsk Medical Institute. Founded in 1878 as the Faculty of Medicine of the Imperial Tomsk University, opened in 1888, this is one of Russia's oldest medical schools. The school is also the oldest medical school east of the Urals. The current rector is Vyacheslav Novitsky.

Chuvash State University

The I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University is the main university of Chuvashia in the Russian Federation. It is located in Cheboksary, the capital of the Chuvash Republic, on the Volga River northeast of Moscow. The university has over 10,000 students and 3,865 faculty, including 77 Doctors of Sciences (equivalent to full professors) and 446 Candidates of Sciences (equivalent to PhDs). The rector of the university is Vsevolod Agakov.

PlaceNigde poetry festival

The PlaceNigde Poetry Festival (Russian: ПлясНигде or PlaceНигде) is moveable poetry festival that has been established in May of 2012. It takes place in Tomsk. The motto of the festival is "A place for poetry is everywhere and nowhere. ". The PlaceNigde was founded in an attempt to renew an old form of poetry reading. An organizers deliberately refused to the academic presentation the poetry.
