Wild Lake
The Wild Lake is a lake near Idrija in western Slovenia and a karst spring of the Vauclusian type. The lake is the source of the Jezernica River, a tributary of the Idrijca and, at 55 metres long, the shortest river in Slovenia. Water flows from under the ground and through a steeply inclined tunnel, explored to a depth of 160 metres . The discharge occasionally surpasses 60 cubic metres per second . However, when the water level is low, there is no outflow from the lake.

Vojko's Plaque
Vojko's Plaque is a local landmark in the Idrijca Gorge in the settlement of Idrijski Log, western Slovenia. This is a plaque that marks the site where the Partisan fighter Janko Premrl (a.k.a. Vojko, 1920–1943) was mortally wounded on 15 February 1943. He died a week later, on 22 February 1943, at Brin Hill (Brinov grič) in Idrijski Log. The bronze plaque was unveiled on 16 May 1955 and is registered as cultural heritage. It consists of three overlapping panels.

The Gorizia Statistical Region (Slovene: Goriška statistična regija) is a statistical region in western Slovenia, along the border with Italy. It is named after the town of Gorizia (Sln. Gorica), now in Italy, the historical economic and cultural center of the area. It comprises the Goriška region and part of the Inner Carniola region. The western Julian Alps, the River Soča and the Vipava Valley are its best known features.

Črni Vrh Observatory
The Črni Vrh Observatory (Observatorij Črni Vrh, IAU code 106) is located in Western Slovenia, close to the settlement Črni Vrh, near the town of Idrija. The current observatory was built in 1985, and is at an altitude of 730 metres. Much of the construction was done by volunteers. Regular astronomical observations started in 1975, at a small observatory that was equipped with home-made instruments and was set up 4 km from the present site. At that time first images of Comet West were taken.

Salt Mud Slide
The Salt Mud Slide (Slovene: plaz Slano Blato) is a periodic landslide in Slovenia that is triggered approximately once a century. The landslide is located below Mount Čaven and Little Mountain next to the Platna mountain pasture. It is moving along Grajšček Creek (which also originates in the landslide itself) toward the settlement of Lokavec near Ajdovščina. It is 1,010 to 1,300 m long and 60 to 250 m wide, covering approximately 15 ha between the elevations of 360 and 660 m.
