Kamnik Bistrica

The Kamnik Bistrica is an Alpine river in northern Slovenia, a left tributary of the Sava River. It springs from the Kamnik Alps (part of the Southern Limestone Alps) near the border with Austria. It is 33 kilometres long. The Kamnik Bistrica flows through the town of Kamnik, where it is fed by the Nevljica River. It flows into the Sava in Dol pri Ljubljani, about 10 km east of Ljubljana.

Kamnik–Savinja Alps

The Kamnik–Savinja Alps are a mountain range of the Southern Limestone Alps. They lie in northern Slovenia, except for the northernmost part, which lies in Austria. The western part of the range was named in 1778 by Belsazar Hacquet and Franz Xaver von Wulfen the Kamnik Alps after the town of Kamnik in the valley of the Kamnik Bistrica River.

Velika Planina (plateau)

Velika Planina is a karstified mountain plateau in the Kamnik–Savinja Alps northeast of Kamnik. It measures 5.8 square kilometres and has the average elevation of 1,500 metres above sea level. Its highest point is Mount Gradišče, at 1,666 metres . There are numerous herders' dwellings that comprise several settlement areas: Velika Planina (Big Pasture), Mala Planina (Little Pasture), Gojška Planina (Gozd Pasture, named for the village of Gozd), Tiha Dolina (Quiet Valley), and others.

Rinka

Rinka Falls is a waterfall in the Logar Valley, in the Municipality of Solčava in Slovenia. It is the source of the Savinja River. It has been proclaimed a natural heritage feature. Rinka Falls is one of the most beautiful and best-known waterfalls in Slovenia. It is also a popular tourist destination. With its drop of 105 metres, it is the highest of the 20 waterfalls in the Logar Valley. The longest step has a length of 90 m . It is visited in all seasons of the year.
