Roman Catholic Diocese of Koper

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Koper is a diocese in southwestern Slovenia. It is part of the Ecclesiastical province of Ljubljana. Its cathedral is dedicated to the Assumption of Mary and is located in the Adriatic port town of Koper. A co-cathedral, dedicated to Christ the Saviour, is located in Nova Gorica; it gained its status in 2004.

Assumption of Mary Church, Dekani

The Assumption of Mary Parish Church (Župnijska cerkev Marijinega vnebovzetja) is a parish church in Dekani, a village near Koper, in southwestern Slovenia. It was built in 1229, rebuilt towards the end of the 15th century, consecrated in 1493, and restored and enlarged in 1902.

St. Bassus's Church

St. Bassus's Church (Slovene: cerkev svetega Basa) is a church at Muda Square (Trg Muda, Prešernov trg) in Koper, a port town in southwestern Slovenia. The building from the end of the 16th century at first served as a hospital of St. Nazarius and was blessed as a church by the Koper Bishop Paolo Naldini in 1706. It was significantly rebuilt in 1731. It has Baroque interior with a single nave and a flat ceiling. The rich Baroque interior equipment includes the main altar with images of St.

Gravisi-Buttorai Palace

The Gravisi-Buttorai Palace is a palace in Koper, a port town in southwestern Slovenia. It is a protected monument. The palace is situated on Cevljar street in the old town center. It was the seat of a branch of the Gravisi family, whose senior line had the title of Marquis of Pietrapelosa, first granted to Nicolò Gravisi in 1440.
