Pirniče

Pirniče is a common name for two villages in central Slovenia in municipality of Medvode, 12 km NW from Ljubljana. Larger is Zgornje Pirniče, smaller and closer to Ljubljana is Spodnje Pirniče, known as birthplace of Slovene partisan commander Franc Rozman. They were first mentioned in 12th century.

Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport

Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (Slovene: Letališče Jožeta Pučnika Ljubljana), also known by its previous name Brnik Airport, is the international airport of Ljubljana, Slovenia. The airport is located near the village of Brnik, 19 km north of Ljubljana and 11 km south of Kranj on the road between Kranj and Mengeš. It has a 3,300 m × 45 m ( ft ×  ft) paved runway. The airport was opened on December 24, 1963.

Sora (river)

The Sora is a right affluent of the Sava River in the northeastern part of Slovenia. The Sora gathers its waters mainly from the Škofja Loka Hills. Its source branches are the Poljane Sora (Slovene: Poljanska Sora, also Poljanščica), named after the Poljane Valley (Poljanska dolina), and the Selca Sora (Slovene: Selška Sora, also Selščica), named after the Selca Valley (Selška dolina). The Poljane Sora is larger and is 43 kilometres in length, while the Selca Sora is 32 km in length.

Cantius, Cantianius, and Cantianella

Saints Cantius, Cantianius, and Cantianella (all died May 31, circa 304 AD) are venerated as saints and martyrs by the Christian church. Tradition states that the three were orphaned siblings, and members of a noble Roman family, the Anicii. They were related to the Emperor Carinus. Protus was their tutor or guardian. He was a Christian who converted the three siblings.

Kieselstein Castle

Kieselstein Castle, also known as Khislstein, (Slovene: Grad Kieselstein / Khislstein) is a 13th-century castle in the city of Kranj, in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. The castle stands at what was once a defensible point, guarding the city pier and crossing over the river Sava, and was predated on the site by a round 11th-century keep. The current structure was built in 1256 by the counts of Ortenburg, by an arrangement with the lord of Kranj, duke Ulrik III Spanheim.
