Volčji Potok Arboretum

The Volčji Potok Arboretum was opened to the public in 1952. It originally formed part of the Souvan family estate in 1885, which was taken over by the University of Ljubljana in 1952 and legally declared a place of cultural and natural heritage of national importance. Now independent of the university, it is the most visited botanical garden in Slovenia and in recent years has become well known for its spring flower shows.

Domžale Sports Park

Domžale Sports Park (Slovene: Športni park Domžale) or Domžale Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Domžale, Slovenia. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of NK Domžale. The stadium currently holds 2,813. It was built in 1948 and was renovated and modernized in 1997 and 1999. Work on the new, western, stand started in October 2003 and it was finished in April 2004. In 29 June 2006 the stadion received reflectors.

Domžale radio transmitter

The Domžale radio transmitter is a facility for medium wave broadcasting in Domžale, in Slovenia. Today, a fully transistorized transmitter is in use at the Domžale Transmitter. The transmitter can be received easily at a medium wave frequency of 918 kHz across the whole of Europe at night-time. It is the strongest radio transmitter of the Republic of Slovenia.

Zaprice Castle

Zaprice Castle, first indirectly mentioned in 1306, was originally built in the 14th century by the Dienger von Apecz family. It was rebuilt in the early 16th century by Jurij Lamberg, who gave it corner oriel windows and surrounded it with a wall with two towers, and gave it a German name: Steinbüchel. The castle is subsequently remembered as a meeting place for Kamnik's Lutherans.
