Portorož Airport

Portorož Airport is the smallest of three international airports in Slovenia. It is located near the village of Sečovlje, 6 km south of Portorož, and less than 300 m from the Croatian border. The airport was opened on 27 September 1962. In addition to Portorož, the airport serves a number of other tourist destinations in the region, including Piran, Izola, Koper in Slovenia, Trieste in Italy and Umag in Croatia.

Bonifika Stadium

Bonifika Stadium is a stadium in Koper, Slovenia. It is used for football matches and is the home ground of FC Koper. The stadium is part of Bonifika sports complex, together with a smaller athletics stadium, indoor hall and a indoor swimming pool. The stadium was built in 1962 and got its name from the city area where it is situated. In 2010 the stadium underwent a major reconstruction and its current capacity is 4,047 seats.

SS Rex

The SS Rex was an Italian ocean liner launched in 1931. It held the westbound Blue Riband between 1933 and 1935. Originally built for the Navigazione Generale Italiana (NGI) as the SS Guglielmo Marconi, its state-ordered merger with the Lloyd Sabaudo line meant that the ship sailed for the newly created Italia Flotta Riunite. On May 12, 1938, in a demonstration of U.S. air power, three YB-17 bombers of the U.S. Army Air Corps intercepted the Rex 620 miles at sea in a highly publicized event.

St. Bassus's Church

St. Bassus's Church (Slovene: cerkev svetega Basa) is a church at Muda Square (Trg Muda, Prešernov trg) in Koper, a port town in southwestern Slovenia. The building from the end of the 16th century at first served as a hospital of St. Nazarius and was blessed as a church by the Koper Bishop Paolo Naldini in 1706. It was significantly rebuilt in 1731. It has Baroque interior with a single nave and a flat ceiling. The rich Baroque interior equipment includes the main altar with images of St.
