Strmol Castle

Strmol Castle is a castle located at the foot of Dvorjanski hrib ("Mansion Hill") near the villages of Češnjevek, Grad and Dvorje, in the municipality of Cerklje na Gorenjskem, Slovenia. Named after its builders, the Strmol family, it is notable as one of the few castles in Slovenia to retain a Slovene name throughout its history. It is currently a guesthouse and conference site for the government of the Republic of Slovenia.

Turn Castle near Preddvor

Turn Castle is a castle near the village of Potoče in the municipality of Preddvor in the Upper Carniolan region of Slovenia. The castle was first mentioned in 1408 and was probably built in the mid-14th century. In the early 15th century, it came into the possession of the Counts of Celje. The original castle was severely damaged in 1439, during the fights between the Habsburgs and the Counts of Celje, and again by the Ottoman Turks in 1473.

Kamnik Bistrica

The Kamnik Bistrica is an Alpine river in northern Slovenia, a left tributary of the Sava River. It springs from the Kamnik Alps (part of the Southern Limestone Alps) near the border with Austria. It is 33 kilometres long. The Kamnik Bistrica flows through the town of Kamnik, where it is fed by the Nevljica River. It flows into the Sava in Dol pri Ljubljani, about 10 km east of Ljubljana.

Skuta is the third highest peak in the Kamnik Alps and is known by its glacier which is the most eastern in the Alps.

Čabranka

The Čabranka is a small river on the border between Slovenia and Croatia. It is 17.5 kilometres long and is a left tributary of the Kupa River. Its source is just west of the settlement of Podplanina in the Municipality of Loški Potok in southern Slovenia and just north of the Croatian village of Čabar, from which it gets its name. It joins the Kupa at Osilnica.
