Kojca (mountain)

Mount Kojca is a 1,303-meter-high mountain in the Cerkno Hills in the municipality of Cerkno in western Slovenia. It stands south of Mount Porezen and its summit offers views of the Cerkno region and the surrounding peaks. Mount Kojca shares its name with the hamlet of Kojca in Bukovo. The hamlet of Kojca is the oldest attested settlement below Mount Kojca and was formerly the seat of the local parish. In older sources Kojca is referred to as Kožica.

Idrijca

The Idrijca is a river flowing through the Idrija Hills and Cerkno Hills. It is 60 kilometres long. It rises near Vojsko, flows towards northeast and after passing through Idrija turns to the northwest. After passing through Spodnja Idrija and Cerkno it joins the Soča in Most na Soči. The river basin has an area of 598 square kilometres . The major tributaries are the Belca, Zala, Cerknica, and Bača from the right and the Nikomlja, Kanošica, and Trebušica from the left.

Bača

The Bača is a river in northwestern Slovenia with a length of 22 kilometres . It runs from Bača pri Podbrdu to Bača pri Modreju, where it joins the Idrijca River as its last right tributary.

Cerkno Hills

The Cerkno Hills (Slovene: Cerkljansko hribovje or Cerkljansko) is a transitional region between the Alpine and the Dinaric landscape, centered around Cerkno in northwestern Slovenia. Several passes in this area connect the Poljane Valley and the Selca Valley with the Idrijca Valley and the Soča Valley. The highest peak is Porezen . The landscape is geologically very diverse and one of the most interesting in Slovenia in this regard.
