The Orange River, Gariep River, Groote River or Senqu River is the longest river in South Africa. Oranjemund Constituency
Oranjemund is a constituency in the Karas Region of Namibia. It covers an area of 27,000 sqkm and has a population of 18,200 inhabitants. The main towns are the district capital Oranjemund and the mining town of Rosh Pinah, the constituency also contains the Sendelingsdrift border post. Economic activities concentrate on mining and tourism, the current unemployment rate is 48%.

Kudu Power Project
The Kudu Power Project is a project to increase power production in Namibia. The main elements of the project are development of the Kudu gas field and construction of an 800 MW combined cycle natural gas-fired power station at Oranjemund. When completed, the power station will feed Namibian and South African power grids. The project will be developed by NamPower, a national energy company of Namibia.
