Daejeon World Cup Stadium

Daejeon World Cup Stadium, nicknamed "Purple Arena", is a football stadium in the South Korean city of Daejeon. It was used to host some matches of the 2002 World Cup (South Africa vs Spain, Poland vs USA and South Korea vs Italy) . After the World Cup it became the stadium of Daejeon Citizen with a capacity of 41,295 seats. It replaced Daejeon Sports Complex.

KAIST

KAIST (formally the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), is a public research university located in Daedeok Innopolis, Daejeon, South Korea. KAIST was established by the Korean government in 1971 as the nation's first research oriented science and engineering institution. HLA (radio station)

HLA is a time signal radio station in Daejeon, South Korea, operated by the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science. Established on November 24, 1984, it transmits a 2 kW signal on 5 MHz (±0.01 Hz). Originally only transmitted for 7 hours per day, 5 days per week (M–F), it is continuous as of 2011, There are over 100 users of the signal in Korea.

Gyeryong

Gyeryong is a city in southeastern South Chungcheong province, South Korea. The current mayor is Hong-Mook Choi. The city was created in 2003, by a split from Nonsan city, following prolonged local agitation. Approximately half (47%) of the city's inhabitants are either serving in the South Korean army, or are family of service members. The city hosts several major Korean and international military conferences.
