Information and Communications University

Information and Communications University (ICU), established in 1998, was a Korean university focused primarily on research and engineering in the field of information technology. It was located in the city of Daejeon and comprised an engineering school and a management school. As of 2006, about 20% of the enrolled graduate students were international students. Unlike other Korean universities, almost all courses were taught in English.

Daedeok Science Town

Daedeok Innopolis, formerly known as Daedeok Science Town, is the research and development district in the Yuseong-gu district in Daejeon, South Korea. Daedeok Innopolis grew out of the research cluster established by President Park Chunghee in 1973 with the opening of the KAIST. Over 20 major research institutes and over 40 corporate research centers make up this science cluster.

The Taeduk Radio Astronomy Observatory, or TRAO is an astronomical observatory owned and operated by Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institutue. It is located in the science town of Taeduk, part of Daejeon, South Korea.

Daejeon Museum of Art

The Daejeon Museum of Art (also called the Daejeon Metropolitan Museum of Arts) is located near at 396 Mannyeon-dong, Seo-gu, the Expo Park in Daejeon, South Korea. It opened on April 15, 1998. It has featured modern art from both domestic and foreign artists. Recent shows have included "The Horizen [sic] of Daejeon Art" [local art, featuring Cho Pyung-hwi and An Chi-in] and "The Exhibition of Park Seung-moo. " The facility has a floor space of just over 8,400 m².
