Wonju

Wonju is the most populous city in Gangwon province, South Korea. Wonju is a city approximately 90 miles east of Seoul and the capital can be reached within 1hr 30minutes by bus or train. Wonju is home to three major universities (one of them Sangji University, known for it's Tourism and Korean Medicine departments) which attract many students from Seoul and elsewhere. They provide facilities to host sporting and musical events throughout the year.

First and Second Battles of Wonju

The First and Second Battles of Wonju (French: Bataille de Wonju), also known as the Wonju Campaign or the Third Phase Campaign Eastern Sector (Chinese: 第三次战役东线; pinyin: Dì Sān Cì Zhàn Yì Dōng Xiàn), was a series of engagements between North Korean and United Nations (UN) forces during the Korean War. The battle took place from December 31, 1950 to January 20, 1951 around the South Korean town of Wonju.

Jecheon

Jecheon is a city in Chungcheongbuk-do (province), South Korea. The city is a major railway junction (transportation mecca), served by the Jungang, Chungbuk and Taebaek Lines. Jecheon has scenic surroundings and several tourist spots like the Uirimji Reservoir, Cheongpung Lake and Cheongpung Cultural Properties Complex. It is also the home of Semyung University. The city's name derives from the Korean words Je(堤), which means Dam, and cheon(川) which means River.

Jecheon Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Jecheon, South Korea. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 30,000 people and was built in 1988.
