Hongcheon County

Hongcheon (Hongcheon-gun) is a county in Gangwon Province, South Korea. It is the birthplace of historic general Choi Yeong of Goryeo. It is also the birthplace of Lee Young-Pyo, who plays for the South Korea national football team. He also plays for Vancouver Whitecaps FC of Major League Soccer. Hongcheon is the location of Daemyung Resort, Vivaldi Park, a ski resort and water park in the mountains.

Battle of Chipyong-ni

The Battle of Chipyong-ni (French: Bataille de Chipyong-ni), also known as the Battle of Dipingli, was a decisive battle of the Korean War, and it took place from 13–15 February 1951 between members of the US 23rd Infantry Regiment and various units of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army (PVA). It took place in the village of Chipyong-ni, present-day Jipyeong-ri. The result was a United Nations Command victory.

Battle of the Twin Tunnels

The Battle of the Twin Tunnels (French: Bataille de Twin-Tunnels) took place during the Korean War. In which the 1st Battalion 23rd Infantry Regiment 3rd Brigade Combat Team 2nd Infantry Division and elements of the 21st Infantry Regiment 24th Infantry Division inflicted heavy casualties for the People's Volunteer Army.

Yongmun Station

Yongmun Station is a station on the Jungang Line in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. It is the eastern terminus of the commuter railway, running from Seoul to Yangpyeong County. Mugunghwa trains also stop at this station. Nearby attractions include Mt. Yongmun (1,157 m), a popular place for mountain hikers, and Yongmunsa, a Buddhist temple.
