Gangneung Indoor Ice Rink
Gangneung Indoor Ice Rink (강릉 실내 빙상경기장) is an indoor ice arena which will be used for the 2018 Winter Olympics and 2018 Winter Paralympics. It was opened in 1998. Daegwallyeong
Daegwallyeong (대관령) is a mountain pass in the Taebaek Mountains of eastern South Korea. It runs between Pyeongchang and Gangneung in Gangwon Province. It rises to 832 metres above sea level. It is an important historical pass that connects the regions of Yeongseo and Yeongdong. Daegwallyeong-myeon of Pyeongchang County is named after this pass. Daegwallyeong Museum is located in Gangneung.

Gangneung Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Gangneung, South Korea. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 30,000 people and was opened in 1980. It is home ground of Gangneung City FC, and Gangwon FC from 2009.

Gangneung
Gangneung is a city in Gangwon-do, on the east coast of South Korea. It has a population of 229,869 (as of 2006). Gangneung is the economic centre of the Yeongdong region of Gangwon Province. Gangneung has many tourist attractions, such as Jeongdongjin, a very popular area for watching the sun rise. There is a ROK airbase south of downtown Gangneung which formerly doubled as a civil airport.
