Jeongseon County

Jeongseon (Jeongseon-gun) is a county in Gangwon Province, South Korea. It is famous as the hometown of "Jeongseon Arirang," a traditional Korean folksong. It is also the hometown of famous actor Won Bin and footballer Seol Ki-hyeon.

Hwanseon Cave

Hwanseon Cave (환선굴) is a cave located in Gangwon province, South Korea. It is one of the largest limestone caves in Asia, and the biggest in Korea, with 6.2 km of known passages and a total suspected length of 8 km, 1.6 km of which are visited by over 1 million people per year. In 1966 the South Korea government designated this cave and a neighboring cave not open to the public, Gwaneum cave (관음굴), National Monument 178. Hwanseongul was opened to the public in 1997.

Yongpyong Ski Resort

Yongpyong Ski Resort (용평리조트) is a ski resort located in Daegwallyeong-myeon, Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do of South Korea. As well as skiing facilities, the resort offers golf in the summer months. It is the largest ski and snowboard resort in Korea. The resort is owned by the Unification Church (the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity), a new religious movement founded by Sun Myung Moon, through the Tongil Group.

Alpensia Sliding Centre

The Alpensia Sliding Centre (알펜시아 슬라이딩 센터) is a bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track that will be located in Alpensia Resort, South Korea, located in the district of Pyeongchang. This venue will host the bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton events for the 2018 Winter Olympics. It will accommodate 11,000 spectators. It is planned to host World Cup events in 2017 as test events for the Olympics.
