Gyeonggi Province

Gyeonggi-do is the most populous province in South Korea. The provincial capital is located at Suwon. Seoul—South Korea's largest city and national capital—is located in the heart of the province, but has been separately administered as a provincial-level special city since 1946. Incheon—South Korea's third largest city—is located on the coast of the province, but has been similarly administered as a provincial-level metropolitan city since 1981.

Paldang Station

Paldang Station is a station on the Jungang Line, located in the city of Namyangju by the northern banks of the Han River. Although it is one of the older train stations in Korea (built prior to the 1945 liberation), the area around the station is not developed to a great degree, and only a few passenger trains stop at the station every day.

Paldang Bridge

The Paldang Bridge crosses the Han River in South Korea and connects the cities of Hanam and Namyangju. The bridge was completed in 1995. It is the easternmost bridge on the Han River.

Bukhan River

The Bukhan River (North Han River) is a tributary of the Han River that flows through both North and South Korea. It traverses Kangwon province in North Korea and Gangwon and Gyeonggi provinces in South Korea. The Bukhan River's headwaters lie in North Korea near Geumgangsan; this early portion of the river is often called the Geumgangcheon, or "Geumgang Stream. " It crosses the Korean Demilitarized Zone and enters Hwacheon County, flowing south through Chuncheon and then west through Gapyeong.

Hanam

Hanam is a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Formerly a part of Gwangju County, it was designated a city in 1989. The ancient Baekje capital of Hanam Wiryeseong may have been located there. Lying immediately east of Seoul, Hanam is also bordered by Namyangju, Gwangju, and Seongnam. In August 2009, Seongnam and Hanam cities announced their intention to merge.
