Ulleung County
Ulleung County (Ulleung-gun) is a county in North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. It consists mainly of the island of Ulleungdo, but is held to cover a total of 44 islands, including Liancourt Rocks, which is contested by Japan and North Korea. All of these islands lie within the Sea of Japan (East Sea). Administratively, the county is divided into one eup and two myeon: Ulleung-eup (including Liancourt Rocks), Buk-myeon, and Seo-myeon.

Dokdo Museum has a diverse collection of relics related to Liancourt Rocks and the Sea of Japan (East Sea). It was opened on August 8, 1997. The aim of Dokdo Museum is to collect and research Liancourt Rocks and the Sea of Japan. Additionally, by exhibiting and managing these materials, Korea hopes to reinforce its strength against Japanese claims on what Korea considers its territory on Liancourt Rocks.

Ulleungdo
Ulleung-Do is a South Korean island far off the east coast of Korean Peninsula. Formerly known as Dagelet to the Europeans, Ulleungdo is about 120 km (75 mi) east of the Korean Peninsula. Volcanic in origin, the rocky steep-sided island is the top of a large stratovolcano which rises from the seafloor, reaching a maximum elevation of 984 metres at Seonginbong Peak. The island consists primarily of trachyandesite rock.

Russian armoured cruiser Dmitrii Donskoi
Dmitrii Donskoi was an armoured cruiser built for the Imperial Russian Navy in the early 1880s. She was designed as a commerce raider and equipped with a full suite of sails to economize on coal consumption. The ship spent the bulk of her career abroad, either in the Far East or in the Mediterranean. Dmitrii Donskoi was assigned to the Second Pacific Squadron after the Japanese destroyed the Russian ships deployed in the Far East during the early stages of the Russo-Japanese War of 1904–05.
