Palgongsan
Palgongsan, also Palgong Mountain, is a mountain in southeastern South Korea, lying on an outlier of the Taebaek range. It stands on the border between Daegu metropolitan city and North Gyeongsang province. Its peak is 1193 m above sea level. The mountain is the site of a number of cultural and natural heritage sites. These include Buddhist shrines from the Silla period or later, including the large and active temple of Donghwasa and the Gunwi Triad Budda Grotto (National Treasure 109).

Battle of Ka-san
The Battle of Ka-san was an engagement between United Nations (UN) and North Korean forces early in the Korean War from September 1 to September 15, 1950, in the vicinity of Ka-san in South Korea. It was a part of the Battle of Pusan Perimeter, and was one of several large engagements fought simultaneously. The battle ended in a victory for the United Nations after large numbers of United States (US) and Republic of Korea (ROK) troops repelled a strong North Korean attack.

Gongsan Dam
Gongsan Dam is a dam in Jimyo-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu, South Korea. Built across the Donghwacheon stream flowing south from Palgongsan, the dam is responsible for securing the water supply for much of northern Daegu. The dam's construction began in 1979 and was completed in 1981. Since then, the use of much of the surrounding land has been restricted, due to concerns that development might lead to a loss of water quality. Local residents have protested these restrictions from time to time.

The Battle of Tabu-dong was an engagement between United Nations (UN) and North Korean (NK) forces early in the Korean War from September 1 to September 18, 1950, in the vicinity of Tabu-dong, north of Taegu in South Korea. It was a part of the Battle of Pusan Perimeter, and was one of several large engagements fought simultaneously.
