Okpo-dong
Okpo-dong is dong of the city of Geoje in South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. The village is located on the eastern coast of Geoje Island and a center of the island. The Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) http://www. dsme. co. kr shipyard is located close to the town. A large portion of DSME employees live in Okpo, and DSME jackets are a common sight in the town at night.

Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering
Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. , Ltd (DSME) is the second largest shipbuilder in the world and one of the "Big Three" shipbuilders of South Korea. On 21 February 2011, the A. P. Moller-Maersk Group (Maersk) ordered 10 large container ships from Daewoo, each with a capacity of 18,000 containers, surpassing the current record holder; the Mærsk E-class at 15,200 containers. The first is to be delivered in 2014. There is an option of 20 more.

Busan–Geoje Fixed Link
The Busan–Geoje Fixed Link is an 8.2 kilometers bridge-tunnel fixed link that connects the South Korean city of Busan to Geoje Island. The name of the bridge is Geoga Bridge (거가 대교). The route opened on December 13, 2010 and shortens the travelling distance between Geoje Island and Busan by about 60 kilometers . The new road has two lanes in each direction and carries National Road 58.

Geojedo
Geojedo or Geoje Island (also often spelled Koje Island) is the principal island of Geoje City, on the southern coast of Gyeongsangnam-do province, South Korea. It is joined to land by two bridges from nearby Tongyeong. Sinhyeon is the largest town on the island. The Busan-Geoje Fixed Link was open in December of 2010 and provides a more direct connection to the city of Busan. Geoje Island covers an area of 383.44 km², the second largest island in South Korea.

Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (former Daewoo Shipyard) in Okpo and Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) in Gohyeon are both located on Geoje Island. The city also offers a wide range of tourist sights. The city is made up of a number of islands, of which by far the largest is Geoje Island. There are two dong in the city: Okpo-dong and Gohyeon.
