South Gyeongsang Province

South Gyeongsang Province, or Gyeongsangnam-do, is a province in the southeast of South Korea. The provincial capital is located at Changwon. It contains the major metropolitan center and port of Busan. Located there is UNESCO World Heritage Site Haeinsa, a Buddhist temple that houses the Tripitaka Koreana and attracts many tourists. Automobile and petrochemical factories are largely concentrated along the southern part of the province, extending from Ulsan through Busan, Changwon, and Jinju.

International University of Korea

International University of Korea is a private university located in Jinju, South Korea. It is located 5 miles east of Jinju. Established in 1978 and later as Jinjun International University, the post secondary institution was renamed the current named in 2008. The university is made up of seven colleges and 27 departments with total enrollment at 5,000. IUK offers studies in Korean and English attracting mostly students from Asia as well as from Australia, Canada, United States and Turkey.

Gaya confederacy

Gaya was a confederacy of territorial polities in the Nakdong River basin of southern Korea, growing out of the Byeonhan confederacy of the Samhan period. The traditional period used by historians for Gaya chronology is 42–532 CE. According to archaeological evidence in the third and fourth centuries some of the city-states of Byeonhan evolved into the Gaya confederacy, which was later annexed by Silla, one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea.
