Uiryeong County

Uiryeong County (Uiryeong-gun) is a county in Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea. It is one of the least populated counties in Korea. In 1938, Uiryeong native Lee Byung-chull founded Samsung Group in nearby Daegu. This county is known in some quarters as the location where Woo Bum-Kon carried out the second worst incident of spree killing in known history on April 26, 1982.

South Gyeongsang Province

South Gyeongsang Province, or Gyeongsangnam-do, is a province in the southeast of South Korea. The provincial capital is located at Changwon. It contains the major metropolitan center and port of Busan. Located there is UNESCO World Heritage Site Haeinsa, a Buddhist temple that houses the Tripitaka Koreana and attracts many tourists. Automobile and petrochemical factories are largely concentrated along the southern part of the province, extending from Ulsan through Busan, Changwon, and Jinju.

Jinju

Jinju is a city in South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. It was the location of the first (1592) and second (1593) Sieges of Jinju by Japanese forces during the Imjin War. The Republic of Korea Air Force Education and Training Command is located in the eastern part of the city. There are cultural-historical tourist attractions in Jinju such as Jinju Castle, the Jinju National Museum, and the Nam-gang Prehistoric Site Museum.

Jinju National Museum

Jinju National Museum is a national museum located in the Jinju fortress (진주성 晉州城), Jinju, South Korea. It opened in February 1984 with the purpose to specialize the theme of Imjinwaeran.
