Asiana Airlines Flight 733

Asiana Air Flight 733 (OZ733, AAR733) was an Asiana Airlines passenger flight between Seoul, South Korea and Mokpo that crashed into Mt. Ungeo at 800 feet on July 26, 1993. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-5L9 with registration number HL7229, failed to land twice in bad weather and crashed on the third attempt, causing the deaths of 66 passengers and 2 crew; there were 48 survivors.

Korea International Circuit

The Korea International Circuit is a 5.62 km motorsport circuit located in Yeongam, South Jeolla, South Korea, 400 kilometres south of Seoul and near the port city of Mokpo. It is the venue for the F1 Korean Grand Prix after a $264 million deal between Bernie Ecclestone and the Korean F1 promoter Korea Auto Valley Operation (KAVO – a joint venture between M-Bridge Holdings and Jeollanam-do regional government).

Yeongsan River

The Yeongsan River is a river in south-western South Korea. It has a length of 115.5 km, and covers an area of 3,371 km2. Yeongsan River starts from the Yongchubong Peak located in Yong-myeon, Damyang County, South Jeolla Province. It runs through Damyang, Naju, Yeongam and other regions and eventually flows into the Yellow Sea at Mokpo through the estuary bank.

Daebul Industrial Complex

Daebul Industrial Complex is an industrial complex which covers a large portion of Samho, Yeongam of South Jeolla province in South Korea. The complex was initially designed to set up fundamental base for development in the Mokpo area. Finalized in December 1996, the residence of enterprises start from 1997. The complex was initially aimed at the south east Asia and China market.
