The L’Enrajolada Santacana House-Museum (in Martorell, is one of the oldest museums in Catalonia. It was founded in 1876 by Francesc Santacana i Campmany and then taken over by his grandson, Francesc Santacana i Romeu . The Pont del Diable (Spanish: Puente del Diablo, English: Devil's bridge) is a medieval bridge crossing the river Llobregat in Martorell-Castellbisbal, Catalonia, Spain. The present bridge, featuring a large pointed arch, was constructed in 1283 on Roman foundations. The main clear span is an impressive 37.3 m with a stone chapel on top. A secondary arch has a span of 19.1 m.

No Fem el CIM
The "No fem el CIM" (NFC) movement was founded in 2003 in the Penedès region of Catalonia. It was then that locals learned that the Catalan government wanted to construct a dry port between the towns of Banyeres del Penedès, l'Arboç i Sant Jaume dels Domenys. However, it was not until August 2005 that the movement began to take-off, gaining national recognition, spurred by the release of the government's 544 acre (220 hectare) plan for the inland port.
