Boiro

Boiro is a municipality in the province of A Coruña in the autonomous community of Galicia in northwestern Spain. It is located in the comarca of Barbanza. Boiro has an area of 86.58 km. It is perhaps best known as the small town where famous quadriplegic (and Galician) Ramón Sampedro received euthanasia. The town was thus filmed in for the 2004 film Mar Adentro, which won an Oscar.

A Pobra do Caramiñal

A Pobra do Caramiñal is a town and municipality at the entrance of one of the lower bays of the Galician coastline known as the "Ria de Arousa" in the province of A Coruña. It is located in the autonomous community of Galicia. A Pobra do Caramiñal belongs to the comarca of El Barbanza. It is the next stop out of the ria (bay or more apropos 'fjord') after Boiro and is famous for its unusual festival procession in September.

Dolmen de Axeitos

Dolmen de Axeitos is a prehistoric megalithic dolmen just to the northwest of the village Axeitos, in the parish of Oleiros, in the municipality of Riveira, on the Barbanza Peninsula in the estuary of the Ría de Arousa in the Province of A Coruña, Galicia, in northern Spain. It is dated to 3600-4000 BC. Because of its historical and archaeological value, on March 11, 1978 it became a registered Bien de Interés Cultural landmark.

Santa Uxía de Ribeira

Santa Uxía de Ribeira is the capital of the comarca of Barbanza, in the province of A Coruña in the autonomous community of Galicia in northwestern Spain . The capital and most populous urban center is Santa Uxía of Ribeira. Another of its major points is the center of San Martin de Oleiros. The municipality is administratively divided into nine civil parishes: Aguiño, Artes, Carreira, Castiñeiras, Corrubedo, Oleiros, Olveira, Palmeira and Ribeira.

Rianxo

Rianxo is a port town and municipality in the autonomous community of Galicia in northwestern Spain in the province of A Coruña. It has a population of a little over 15,000 and its two main industries are fishing and tourism. The town's yearly celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe is popular with tourists. Rianxo was the birthplace of several influential Spanish writers, including Paio Gómez Chariño, Manuel Antonio, Alfonso R. Castelao and Rafael Dieste.
