Nordanstig Municipality
Nordanstig Municipality (Nordanstigs kommun) is a municipality in Gävleborg County, east central Sweden. The municipal seat is located in Bergsjö. The municipality was created in 1974 when Bergsjö, Gnarp, Hassela and Harmånger were amalgamated. The name chosen for the new municipality was taken from a corresponding ecclesiatical entity, Nordanstigs kontrakt, which got this name in 1916 on the initiative of Nathan Söderblom, the archbishop of Uppsala.

Hudiksvall Municipality (Hudiksvalls kommun) is one of Sweden's 290 municipalities, situated in Gävleborg County, east central Sweden. Its seat is in the city Hudiksvall. The present municipality was formed in 1971 when the City of Hudiksvall was amalgamated with four surrounding rural municipalities. Minor amalgamations had also taken place in 1952 and 1965, reducing the number of local government entities in the area.

Hudiksvall County
Hudiksvall County, or Hudiksvalls län, was a county of the Swedish Empire, between 1645 and 1654. It was created by splitting the Norrland County into the Hudiksvall County and the Härnösand County, but just nine years later they were merged again as the Västernorrland County. The seat of residence for the Governor was in Hudiksvall. It included the Provinces of Gästrikland, Hälsingland and Härjedalen.
