Skirö

Skirö is a small village in Vetlanda Municipality in Sweden. It lies 25 km from the town of Vetlanda in the southeastern part of Jönköping County and has a population of about 300. Situated in a beautiful setting around Lake Skirö, it was dubbed "Smålands trädgård" ("The Garden of Småland") by Carolus Linnaeus. There are some large mansions such as Wallby and Gölberga not far from the village. It was the birthplace of botanist Eric Ragnar Sventenius (1910-1973).

Flen Municipality

Flen Municipality (Flens kommun) is a municipality in Södermanland County in southeast Sweden. Its seat is located in the city of Flen. The present municipality was formed in 1971 through the amalgamation of the City of Flen (instituted in 1949), the market town Malmköping and the surrounding countryside.
