Haga Castle
Haga Castle (Haga Slott) is a castle by Lake Mälaren outside of Enköping in Uppsala County, Sweden. The earliest recorded owner of the Haga property was the Swedish noble, Sten Bengtsson (Bielke). He built a stone building on the property. His son Ture Stensson (Bielke) apparently moved from that site to where Haga's main building now stands. Up until the 1660s, Haga remained a medieval style castle, with irregularly built-on towers and wings.

Lake Mälaren (historically occasionally referred to as Lake Malar in English) is the third-largest lake in Sweden, after Lakes Vänern and Vättern. Its area is 1,140 km² and its greatest depth is 64 m. Mälaren spans 120 kilometers from east to west. The lake drains, from southwest to northeast, into the Baltic Sea through the Södertälje Canal, Hammarbyslussen, Karl Johanslussen and Norrström.
