Veda och Mörtsal
Veda och Mörtsal is a settlement of Härnösand parish in Högsjö. It comprises two villages halfway between Kramfors and Härnösand. The ferry that served as transport to Nyadal, on the other side of the Ångerman River, before the Höga Kusten Bridge was built, was in Veda. The settlement lies less than 1 kilometer from Utansjö.

Höga Kusten Bridge
The High Coast Bridge (in Swedish Högakustenbron, or Vedabron by an alternate name) is a suspension bridge crossing the mouth of the Ångermanälven river near Veda, on the border between the Härnösand and Kramfors municipalities in the province of Ångermanland in northern Sweden. The area is often referred to as The High Coast, hence its name. The bridge replaces Sandöbron, the old bridge across the river, in a new extension of the European route E4 (E4).

Saltvik Prison
Saltvik Prison (real name Saltviksanstalten or Anstalten Saltvik) is a prison located in Härnösand Municipality, Sweden. This prison has 134 jails. In December 2003 they wanted to replace the former unmodern prison in Härnösand. Anstalten Härnösand was cancelled in 2009 and the new Saltviksanstalten opened in autumn of 2010.

Härnösand County
Härnösand County, or Härnösands län, was a county of the Swedish Empire, between 1645 and 1654. It was created by splitting the Norrland County into the Härnösand County and the Hudiksvall County, but just nine years later they were merged again as the Västernorrland County. The seat of residence for the Governor was in Härnösand. It included the Provinces of Ångermanland, Medelpad and Jämtland. See also: Norrland

Härnösand Municipality
Härnösand Municipality (Härnösands kommun) is a municipality in Västernorrland County, northern Sweden. Its seat is located in Härnösand (pop. 18,000). The present municipality was formed in 1969 through the amalgamation of the City of Härnösand with Säbrå (itself created in 1952 when five former entities were merged) and Högsjö. Its coat of arms depict a beaver with a pike in its mouth.
