Grand Marais, Seeland
Grand Marais in Seeland ou Pays des trois lacs is a region in Switzerland, at the foot of the first mountain range of the Jura Mountains contained by the three lakes of Morat (Murten), Neuchâtel and Bienne (Biel). Before the huge hydrological works Jura water correction, it was a marshland that covered 62.5 km . Before the correction the entire Grand Marais, along with the whole Seeland was prone to very severe recurring floods.

Erlach Abbey
Erlach Abbey, also known as St. Johannsen Abbey (Kloster Erlach, otherwise Abtei St. Johannsen), was a Benedictine monastery in Gals, Canton of Bern, Switzerland. It was founded between 1093 and 1103 by Kuno, Count of Fenis and Bishop of Lausanne, on an island in the Zihl. the foundation was completed after his death by his brother, Burchard, bishop of Basle. The new monastery was settled by monks from St. Blaise's Abbey in the Black Forest.
