Lac de Lessoc

Lac de Lessoc is a reservoir on the Saane/Sarine river between Lessoc and Montbovon in the Canton of Fribourg, Switzerland. The lake's surface area is 20 ha. The Lessoc dam with a height of 33 m was completed in 1976.

Les Avants

Les Avants is a village in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. It is located in the municipality of Montreux, in the east of the canton, in the district of Vevey. It lies 3.5 km north-east of the town of Montreux and 25 km east of Lausanne. Les Avants is a winter resort in the Vaud Pre-alps. It hosted the first Ice Hockey European Championship, in 1910. The village gives its name to the Chemin de fer Les Avants – Sonloup.

Les Avants–Sonloup railway

The Les Avants–Sonloup railway (French: Chemin de fer Les Avants–Sonloup) is a metre gauge funicular which runs from the railway station of the Chemin de fer Montreux-Oberland Bernois at Les Avants, between Montreux and Montbovon, and an upper terminus at Sonloup. The funicular, which was opened on 14 December 1912, runs at a right angle to the MOB line for a distance of 532 m and in doing so climbs at a 54% gradient to a height of 184 m above Les Avants.

Grand Chalet

The Grand Chalet of Rossinière (Grand Chalet de Rossinière) is one of the oldest chalets in Switzerland, dating to the 18th century. It is located in Rossinière and classed as a historic monument. Claude Roy wrote of it: “ The Grand Chalet, a caravel washed up on a mountain, a Shinto temple... With its architecture in white wood and balconies of lace. ”
