Institut Florimont

Institut Florimont was founded in 1905 by the Congrégation des Missionnaires de Saint François de Sales, soon after a law in France prohibited religious congregations of any persuasion. The Institut Florimont started out as a private catholic French-speaking boarding school The school is directed by a lay person since 1995, and has accepted girls at the secondary II level since 1978. In 1995, the entire school became co-ed and the pre-school classes were opened.

Established in 2005 by a merger of the International Federation of Building and Wood Workers (IFBWW) and the World Federation of Building and Wood Workers (WFBW). As of 2006, it has 350 member organisations in 135 countries, representing a combined membership of more than 12 million workers.

International Federation of Building and Wood Workers

The International Federation of Building and Wood Workers (IFBWW) was a global union federation of trade unions in the building, building materials, wood, forestry and allied industries. It was established in 1934 by a merger of the Building Workers International and Wood Workers International. The International Secretariat of Stone Masons, the International Secretariat of Painters and Allied Trades and the International Secretariat of Bricklayers later joined the organisation.
