Schauenburg Castle, Switzerland

Schauenburg is a ruined castle near the border of France and Germany. It is in the commune of Liestal, Switzerland. The castle was built to catch traders who sought to evade the tolls on the Rhine river. Due to repeated geological events, little of the original structure remains.

Birseck Castle

Birseck Castle is located in the municipality of Arlesheim in the canton of Basel-Country. Birseck Castle is also called "Untere Burg Birseck" or "Vordere Burg Birseck" and is one of four castles on a slope called Birseck that confines the plain of the Birs river. The Eremitage building group that includes the castle is listed as a heritage site of national significance. Burg Reichenstein is the sister castle to Birseck and sits on a higher slope to the north.

Baslerweiher

Goetheanum

The Goetheanum, located in Dornach, Switzerland, is the world center for the anthroposophical movement. Named after Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, the center includes two performance halls (1500 seats), gallery and lecture spaces, a library, a bookstore, and administrative spaces for the Anthroposophical Society; neighboring buildings house the Society's research and educational facilities.
