Schöllijoch

The Schöllijoch (el. 3343 m. ) is a high mountain pass in the Pennine Alps, connecting Gruben and St. Niklaus in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. The path has been recently equipped and is accessible to experienced hikers. The pass lies between the Barrhorn on the north and the Brunegghorn on the south.

Europa Hut

The Europa Hut is a mountain hut located in the Mattertal above Randa in the Mischabel range at 2,265 m, owned by the Swiss Alpine Club. It lies on the Grächen-Zermatt high trail, called Europaweg (also part of the Monte Rosa Tour). From the hut a trail leads to the Dom Hut, on the normal route to the Dom. The Europaweg is badly affected by unstable terrain; the entire path is prone to rockfalls and sections are sometimes closed. Do not be tempted to ignore the signs.

Ried Glacier

The Ried Glacier is a 6 km long glacier (2005) situated in the Pennine Alps in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. In 1973 it had an area of 8.22 km. The glacier lies in the Mischabel range, at the foot of Nadelhorn and not far from Dom.

Dom Hut

The Dom Hut (2,940 m) is a mountain hut in the Pennine Alps located above Randa in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. It is owned by the Swiss Alpine Club. The Dom Hut is mainly used as the starting point of the normal route of the Dom. From Randa a trail leads to the hut.
