Crossair Flight LX 3597 was an Avro RJ100 regional airliner, registration HB-IXM, on a scheduled flight from Berlin, Germany to Zurich, Switzerland that crashed during its approach to land at Zurich Airport on 24 November 2001. Twenty-four of the 33 people on board were killed.

Kolping Arena

The Kolping Arena is an arena in Zurich, Switzerland. It is primarily used for ice hockey and is the home arena of the Kloten Flyers. In 2008 the Eishalle Schluefweg was renamed Kolping Arena due to a sponsoring deal. It will now keep that name for seven years. The Kolping Arena holds 7,561 people and was built in 1997. In 2004, the arena played host to the finals of the 2004 Men's World Floorball Championships. and in 2009 it was one of the hosts of the IIHF World Championships

Hirzenbach

Hirzenbach is a quarter in the district 12 of Zurich, located in the Glatt Valley . It was formerly a part of Schwamendingen municipality, which was incorporated into Zurich in 1934. The quarter has a population of 11,265 distributed on an area of 2.62 km².

Bubenholz Tunnel

The Bubenholz Tunnel is a motorway tunnel in Switzerland, and forms part of the A51 motorway around Zurich Airport. The tunnel is around 600 metres long. The tunnel replaces several overpasses which existed until the early 2000s. It is also supposed to cut noise from the motorway away from the nearby towns of Glattbrugg and Opfikon. As of 2004, the tunnel is only partially complete and only portions of the tunnel are open to traffic.
