Butiama
Butiama is a town in northern Tanzania and the birthplace of Julius Nyerere, the first president of Tanzania. It is one of the wards of the Musoma Rural District within the Mara Region; it is also the local residential area of the Wazanaki tribe which is believed to be the smallest tribe in the region. The Mwalimu Nyerere Museum Centre is located in the town.
