Wiang Kum Kam

Wiang Kum Kam is the recently restored settlement along the Ping River, which was built by King Mangrai as his capital before he moved it to Chiang Mai. It was flooded and abandoned more than 700 years ago; that move became more understandable in 2005, when the ancient city was flooded three separate times as the river overflowed its banks in that area of Chiang Mai.

Luang Pu Waen Suciṇṇo

Luang Pho Waen Sujinno is one of the longest living students of Phra Ajahn Mun Bhuridatta and was a very popular monk in Thailand. Luang Pho Waen Sujinno was also featured in the Asia Magazine. Another true ascetic at heart, he led the thudong life until the point where he could not physically travel any more and had to settle in a forest monastery in the Chiang Mai region. Luang Pho Waen Sujinno was a revered monk, highly skilled in Samadhi and Dhamma.
