Aranyaprathet

Aranyaprathet is a town in Sa Kaeo Province in eastern Thailand . It covers the entire tambon of Aranyaprathet, in Aranyaprathet District. As of 2005, the town has 16,937 inhabitants. It is located just 6 kilometres from the border with Cambodia; the town of Poipet is on the other side of the border.

Poipet

Poipet (also Poiphet, properly Paoy Paet) is a Cambodian town on the Cambodia/Thailand border, in Ou Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey Province. It is a key crossing point between the two countries, and also extremely popular as a gambling destination as gambling is popular, but illegal in Thailand. There is a strip of casinos and hotels between the Cambodian and Thai passport control counters, enabling Thais to gamble in Cambodia without needing to go through Cambodian immigration.

Nong Samet Refugee Camp

Nong Samet Refugee Camp, also known as 007, Rithisen or Rithysen was one of the largest refugee camps on the Thai-Cambodian border and served as a power base for the Khmer People's National Liberation Front (KPNLF) until its destruction by the Vietnamese military in late 1984.
