Suranaree University of Technology

The Suranaree University of Technology is in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. The university was established on July 27, 1990, becoming fully operational in 1993. It is named after Thao Suranaree, the local heroine of Nakhon Ratchasima. It has been entitled as 1 of 9 National Research Universities of Thailand since 2009.

His Majesty the King's 80th Birthday Anniversary, 5th December 2007 Sports Complex (Thai: สนามกีฬาเฉลิมพระเกียรติ 80 พรรษา 5 ธันวา 2550) is a multi-use sports facility in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, that was built for the 2007 Southeast Asian Games which coincided with the 80th birthday of King Bhumbol Adulyadej, hence the name of the venue.

80th Birthday Stadium

The 80th Birthday Stadium is a sports facility in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. It is the main stadium in His Majesty the King's 80th Birthday Anniversary, 5th December 2007 Sports Complex. It is home to Nakhon Ratchasima FC - a semi professional team - and it was used for the 2007 SEA Games. The stadium is located in the former SEA Games sports complex on Highway 304 to the southwest of the city of Nakhon Ratchasima. The stadium is all-seated with space for 20,000 spectators.

Royal Thai Air Force Bases

Within the period of 1954-1975 (the Vietnam War or Second Indochina War), the Thai Government allowed the Joint United States Military Assistance Group (JUSMAG) to fund and manage the modernization of Royal Thai Air Force airbases. In an unsigned agreement these airbases were to be operated by the United States Air Force for the specific purpose of attacking North Vietnam with some 500 airplanes.

Korat Royal Thai Air Force Base

Korat Royal Thai Air Force Base is a base of the Royal Thai Air Force located in northeast Thailand, approximately 157 miles (250 km) northeast of Bangkok and about 5 miles (8 km) south of the centre of Nakhon Ratchasima (which also known as Khorat or Korat), the second largest city in Thailand. During the Vietnam War, Korat RTAFB was the largest front-line facility of the United States Air Force (USAF) in Thailand from 1962 through 1975.
