Wade's Causeway
Wade's Causeway is the name applied to an ancient road in the North Yorkshire Moors, North Yorkshire England. It ran from Amotherby near Malton to Whitby passing roughly northward from Malton via Stape and crossing the River Esk at Grosmont, beyond which the route eastwards to Whitby is uncertain. It is thought to have connected the Roman camp at Cawthorne Camp with the garrison at Lease Rigg. The road is presumed to be a Roman road, but may be of medieval construction.

RAF Fylingdales
RAF Fylingdales is a Royal Air Force station on Snod Hill in the North York Moors, England. Its motto is "Vigilamus" (translates to "We are watching"). It is a radar base and is also part of the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS). As part of intelligence-sharing arrangements between the United States and United Kingdom (see, for example, the UKUSA Agreement), data collected at RAF Fylingdales are shared between the two countries.

Eskdale, North Yorkshire
Eskdale is a valley running west to east from Westerdale on the North York Moors to Whitby on the east coast of England. Formed during the last major ice age, it has a classic U-shaped valley formation caused by the action of glaciers carving away the rock. Eskdale carries the River Esk from the "Esklets" above Westerdale to the sea.
